Mission#2 note - Yi Dahn (2010.10.07)

- Mission Project : Every 2~3 days, the two artists give each other a phrase of proverb, idiom, or superstition (of which meaning foreigners hard to guess) as a mission. Each artist must accomplish the phrase 'literally', and guess the true meaning after completing the mission.

 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mission#2 :

'へそで茶を沸かす'

'배꼽으로 차를 끓이다'
Boiling tea on a navel

: Japanese proverb

(What the hell is this -_-;)

Preparing the performance anyway

Went to the nearest park, and met cute kids playing soccer... explained about the projects.

Setting (somewhat stupid) sign, saying "now boiling tea by my navel"

And set cameras

Doing performances in ordinary life,
especially silly things like this,
always needs some guts for me.

But the jolly kids cheered me up,
watching my stupid performance till the end.

Thank you very much.

Here's the process (video captures) :

First, put some tea (bought in 100yen shop) in a teapot,

Second, pour boiling water (thanx, Aki!!)

... and lie down,

Third, place the teapot on the navel,

...which was TOO hot,

So I gave up placing it on my bare skin...

Forth, wait until the tea is ready,

wait,

wait,

wait,

wait,

wait,

wait,

wait,

...

...which was still hot.

$*##*@&^#%&#!!!

Fifth, pour the tea in the cup,

(See my "ambitious teacup" found in 100yen shop!!!)

Sixth, enjoy the tee in Japanese style.

Hmmmmm.........

Ahhhhhhhhh....

うまい!!!

'へそで茶を沸かす'
 = very delicious?
= no pain, no gain???
......
           -_-;;;;;;;;;;

In fact, the performance was like this :

Anyway,
Thank you very much, soccer  boys.
I'll post your pic on my map work!!!
